Second-tier LCD TV maker Top Powersonic plans capacity expansion

Benefiting from strong demand for LCD TVs, Top Powersonic’s LCD TV production line reached full capacity this month, according to a report in the Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN).

The Taiwan-based home appliance maker expects to expand its monthly capacity to 12,000 units by July, up from 5,000 units at present, to meet surging demand.The second-tier maker aims to ship 120,000 LCD TVs globally this year the paper cited the company as saying.
